Welcome to Fox Glen Kennels! We are a small hobby kennel raising beautiful Corgi puppies for quality, temperaments, and versatility for the future with outstanding pedigrees of the past. We are located west of Atlanta Georgia, nestled in Douglas County’s woods where you will find a small clearing, a glen if you want, there you'll see our Pembroke Welsh Corgis, a Shorty Jack Russell and our cat.
My husband and I was married in 1980 and was blessed with two children, now grown and with families of their own. We participate in a variety of dog sports including conformation and obedience. The Corgis, are the show dogs; the Jack Russell and the cats are just for fun. We have been breeding, raising, and training purebred dogs for over 30 years. We both belong to and are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and the Douglasville Kennel Club of Georgia. We participate in our local club's events. My husband and I lend a helping hand where ever it is needed, whether it is setting up tents, taking photos of people during our events or working from my home office editing and publishing the monthly newsletter and updating the club's website on my computer. We are always there to lend a helping hand.
We moved here in September of 2005 to care for my ailing Mother, who was 72 years old at the time, and suffered from emphysema which caused her to be on oxygen 24/7 and needed round the clock care. Knowing I could no longer work outside the home and being a graduate from West Central College I used my knowledge and talents and opened a home office doing desktop publishing/website design. I earned my Assoc. Degree in Computer Information Systems in October of 1999. We enjoy the peacefulness of this place. It is way back in the woods at a dead-end street in Douglasville, GA in amongst approximately 35 acres of woods. We all have a deep love for animals and take the responsibilities equally whether its feeding the wildlife here or caring for our Corgis and other pets. We enjoy watching the wildlife that come to visit us, the deer, fox, rabbits, and squirrels are just a few to mention. Below are some photos of our home from last year spring, summer and fall 2009.
.In January 2008 we are sad to say my Mother passed. Below is a small dedication to her and her life. We will continue on here as she wanted us to. I still work from my home office but recently have registered to substitute teach for the Douglas County School system. Thank you Mom for all your love and support
